I'm 18 and have been using NG since around 13 and my love for it has just kept growing. Doubt I will ever hate the place no matter how old I got.

Besides in a semi recent (last year) poll Tom asked users to take there was surprisingly a large amount of older users on the site. I think a lot of them are just happy enough to sit back and join in when the time is right unlike the kids who just are internet 'loud'.

I think if you love art, funny humor (BBS), flash animation, games and whatnot it really doesnt matter what age you are, as long as you enjoy the entertainment ng has to offer its all good

I've always thought of Newgrounds as a place for artists and cartoon animation lovers young or old. We either come here to be entertained or to show people our hard work and creativity. And before NG had enough money for it's own little office, we needed those perverted kids to keep clicking those porn ads to rake in the dough.

So in a way, you should be thankful for them because otherwise, we might be paying for the material here. Just remember that. NG has and always will be about the art. It's just that we happened to be built upon horny children who get off on naughty drawings of anime girls.

Well i'm almost 20, and i first started coming here when i was like 13 or 14. I don't think there is a age where coming here starts to get weird, to everybody there own, and if that is coming here when they are 40 so be it.

I don't think you can be too old for newgrounds. As you get older you see alot of the same stuff so you get bored of it. My view anyways actually I started out here for porn but I dicovered the " games " ... Defense game's are pretty good when you got nothing to do and you don't have to work for another 6 hours...

I started NG when I was 8.

Eh, i'm 18 so i'm getting up there in the years but I really enjoy playing the flash games, watching the videos, listening to the music, and reviewing the hell out of everything that I come across.

You should just start hanging out in the Politics forums.

I've been on newgrounds and the way I look at it I'll be here for a long time or at least untill somthing bad happens to the site. I actually like the fact most of us are about 13 years old.

I dont think its so much of an age thing as just a way in which you use the site. The flash animators/programmers use the site much differently than the casual user or the bbs user or the whatever. Everything by everyone suggests the feeling that you can find your niche regardless of age and enjoy the site. I think your opinion on what is too old is biased and only based on a fraction of the site. Maybe youve outgrown the mature section?. As for me, i think i actually find that i enjoyed NG more as I got older, i was able to grow alongside my peers here creatively, and also wandered enough to make friends with other users on the site. Some of which dare I say, i consider best friends.

Being an older user is also neat cause I dont have to answer to mother, i can just pack up and go hang out with bbm, or swing over to canada and eat disgusting poutine with polux, or have catobleperrr buy me a drink in amsterdam. The point is, as i got older i actually appreciated the company of other newgrounds people. I find it so much more exciting of a lifestyle than alot of the boring corporate suits i used to run into at the watercooler of my old workplace. They sit around and chat about their golf swing and how they took their kids to little league and id quietly giggle to myself in the corner reminiscing about the weekend i just had with a bunch of internet people in <insert city>.

Anyway the point is, i found a part of the site that interested me and so i tailored my experience to work around that. I'm sure theres an awesome mature section or whatever, but its not in my interest so i dont bother with it.

I dont think there is an age limit on Newgrounds, you can be a flash artist beyond your late 30's and still come here looking at the different talented artist's works. I know Jhonen Vasquez views this site on occasion and is even a fan of some of the animators on the site.

When you talk about the maturity of the NG BBS I admit i feel a bit out of place, finding some things that are talked about as shocking or just plain wrong, i guess i'm getting older now and don't find the immature humor as funny as it used to be. I'm 20 btw.

Don't look to the BBS for an insight into the community on Newgrounds. I've met people at NG meets that i've never seen on the forums, many around my age or younger. Its where you look, really.

If I may throw in my opinion, I would say that unless you are the oldest user on the site, you probably arn't too old. Also, I would guess that the greatist animators and musicians on the site would be in their 20's and 30's as they would probably have gone to an animation/music college, and as Newgrounds is the biggest portal on the web (and has a pretty good audio portal) then it naturally attracts talented people.

Of course, I wouldn't suggest that my opinion means more than anyone else's, for one I am merely
15, unlike the much more mature users such as Gagsy.

nobody is too old for newgrounds,and i dont really mind 8-12 year olds on the site,unless they go on forums just to risk of getting banned or deleted that is.

The fraction there just proved their point. I personally don't mind seeing people in their 20s here because it is better than it just being a bunch of absurd, horny 14-year olds like me.

There is no real age limit on NG, so 12 and 13 year olds can generally do he/she wants. Of course maturity of a lot of them is a whole different story, considering they like to cuss like a sailor, and clog the forums with random misspelled posts in an act of trying to be funny.
