i voted, and sadly, things aren't looking good for the behemoth. I loved alien hominid as a kid, and grew to love castle crashers, and now i anticipate battle block theater, and I'm sorry you couldn't win, but fuck damn, I'm going to call ALL of my friends before the polls close, I won't let you guys go down without a fight!

Dude, what are you smoking?
Seriously, it's exactly the opposite of what you said.
The big companies are pitted against the small ones so that the later rounds are more "exciting" (WANNA SEE WHO HAS MOAR FANBOIZ)...
Unless of course by "shitty" and "good" ones you mean the ones you prefer, in which case your post doesn't even make sense.
Also, 1220 vs 3051.
While it's still a big difference, at least we didn't get crushed.

For the motherland!

I'd have to say though, Behemoth has made a LOT of progress as far as votes and percentage share go. Come on, we can make the difference here! But yeah, this is the ultimate underdog battle here.

:( The Behemoth is getting it's ass kicked by Blizzard; not sucha big surprise with all the WoW addicts hanging around the interwebz, but it's sour nonetheless...

Anyway, voted for HOMELAND!

Not completely. During the past 24 hours, about, support for the Behemoth was rising steadily. It went from about 22 points when I first checked, and now it's almost 30.

But yes, unless we have a tsunami of users voting, either real or alts on the Escapist, Behemoth probably won't win, sadly.

Although my vote is largely symbolic (since I haven't played a videogame in several years),
I did vote for the motherland.

I'm not a flash developer, but there isn't a way to make a Flash game where all you have to do is connect to the contest site & vote for the motherland (in exchange of a 100pts medal maybe) for next year competition? This will boost the number of voters (you know, not everybody reads your posts Tom).
Don't criticize my idea if it's impossible, as I said I'm not into flash programming...

I should love to see Behemoth win against Blizzard. But I mean really, we need to branch out our voting campaign. I got a facebook post up, it's not much but it's all I really can do. Anyways, no one ever EVER mentions Blackthorne by Blizzard even when mentioning old old games. I loved that game. Anyways, I imagine there was never any competition for Diablo or Warcraft or Starcraft or WoW because anything good enough to steal market share was probably ended mid-development under threat of assassination from Blizzard. Billions and billions of dollars and market share can inspire a lot of hard feelings. PS, blizzard is a sloppy fat old rich man who is going to be his own downfall, under delusions that his name alone is enough to mind control his fans. Just like the rest of the corporate world, light, nimbler and more ingenious developers will rise to the top just like all the giants of today did yesteryear.

W-w-w-whait, what?I thought that this thread was about voting for Behemoth, not Blizzard's downfall...also, it's not the name that mind-controls Blizzard's fans...it's the game.

I guess you could, but that would mean developing a web browser in Flash. That's still not very easy, and you would have to use lots of trigger-style coding to actually activate a medal.

It would be easier if people were rewarded with points if they post what they voted for on their news page or link to Twitter, and what have you. After that, I have no idea.
