I can't believe people actually thought that was real.

YAY!its april and pico day is in omg...in:27 days i think!

hehe they arem't racist they just stand up for what they believe, the ability to post what they want. And no the chinese government would not change their mind if we kept posting they would just keep on blocking!

As many of you noticed, yesterday we tried to change Newgrounds to comply with Chinese regulations and get unblocked in China. While we felt the end result did a decent job at filtering the site, the Chinese government ultimately decided that NG was still a platform for too many ideas. To continue being unblocked, we would have to have shut down blogs, as well as close the Flash and Audio Portals. While this was tempting, we decided it would be too drastic of a change, so we have decided to go back to the old NG and continue being blocked in China.

All these people were very right. I was almost ready to start blasting you too, if this China business was permanent. Okay, I'm not so mad at you anymore.

That was the worst idea, ever, for an april fool's joke. surely, you've could of done better.

Further proof that this is an april fools joke (to all those people that still aparently dont get it) is that Newgrounds is in no way poor. Have you ever noticed how many competitions the site has giving out large cash prizes and good quality merchendice? Advertising generates an income of money, and pretty much every flash movie/game on newgrounds now has an advertisement for something or other before it starts, some even have them in the middle. Combined with the money that the store would make, im sure this would total to easily enough money to keep the site running.

Im glad you did the right thing, that you couldnt destroy the meaning of NG just for margin and profit. the fact that the chinese government cant handle one thing, let alone a simple Idea is rather unecessary.

If the chinese wants NG, they deserve the whole thing. Shutting down the flash/audio portals wouldve cut revenue profits almost completely. you wouldve literally had to submit into chinese rules and literally do nothing........

For once im glad the april fools thing is over. its not all that bad, but alot of it hurts the eyes........

There are Ddos attacks and sniffers were running by unknown hosts. Commie hackers were inside NG, if you guys check out the host connections, come from China.
One of my teammate, Zaero55 had discovered some danger commies crawling all over the site.

Really can not handle it. Damn.
