What, the fact that newgrounds would become a blank site that can't be updated by other users, can't view 90% of anything already submitted, can't listen to about any of the music, can't post on any forums or have any chat that won't take 4 hours to see what the other person is typing, no rights except if your one of the site manager's crew, and can only sell very limited products due to the immense amount of censoring in China?

If you like that, what are you doing on newgrounds?

i thought the Chinese changes where hilarious. it was TOTALLY something i would see Newgrounds doing. i personally saw it as a joke, to stick to these bizarre standards for a day for a laugh, and nothing else. i didn't see it as selling out, or see it as hindering free speech in some kind of chauvinist conspiracy plot. it was just funny to have up for a day...and kind of to me made a statement about free speech. the site would like to be viewable in China, but if it has to be censored and changed to be so, is the site really achieving anything in being there? apparently not. and the good choice in my opinion of not sticking to there standards.

I agree with the guys who wanna defend freedom of speech. Freedom of speech is probably the most important thing on the Internet, so this last news is a good news.

Hope NG will stay the same for long.

well, I'd like the mods to be less several, but the portal is awesome...

So, this China thing about NG being re-blocked. Is it an April Fools' joke or something really serious?

Oh thank GOD!

I was seriously gonna file a complaint here that could've caused a huge political stink here, so ya, thanks for getting us re-blocked in China again. (meant to be taken seriously, not sarcastically.)

And yeah, next time you wanna do something like this, how about giving us fair warning next time? That way we can either yell 'yay' or 'nay'.

LET FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION BE THE SOLE LAWS OF NEWGROUNDS!

I wonder if it crossed any one of those people's minds that it was, in fact, April first.

If you can make such a great profit off of China. Then why not make a second Newgrounds specificaly designed for Chinese viewing pleasure? I think it would be a great idea.

Good FUCKING joke man!! I was a silent bystander during the whole thing, but I remember trying to watch Buzz Bunny and some of the other racy flashes, and being very upset that they were no longer acceptable on the site. Man, that whole day no one got me for April Fools, but you sure did... HAHAHA. Glad to see that everything is back to normal.

Wow, people can't take a joke (on April 1st of all days).

My only complaint about the change was that the red got hard to look at after awhile.

Let me stop you right there, my good sir. That one insignificant post in a sea of billions proves nothing about any group, big or small. On to your hypocrisy. You are harping on his grammar when you yourself saturate your writing with ":Ls" and the like. Additionally, you made several grammar mistakes and used horrible punctuation and spelling.

I forgot it was april fools day on that day... I saw the whole theme and I was wondering what the occasion was!! Almost fell for the first few seconds for it then reasoned that everything on the site would have to be censored =P Plus some of the stuff written was pretty antagonising towards the chinese government... =P

Anyway this seems to have given rise for patrionism... oh god.

No system works. Whilst capitolism is much better in terms of freedom in general.... I don't get people who but lick it like it's some God. there's still lot's of problems we are glad to ignore. eh....

Why do alot of you seem to still not realise this? IT WAS AN APRIL FOOLS JOKE. I highly doubt Newgrounds is even blocked in China. Stop suggesting to make another site for the chinese. Once again (i repeat this for the slower among you) IT WAS AN APRIL FOOLS JOKE.
