VIDEOGAME ARRANGEMENT THREAD

Hey musicians!

First of, I'm asking every single musician to help out, so if you might know anyone who'd be awesome at lending a hand, please please invite them over. The more songs the better.

My name is Callum Stamp. I'm an animator, director, screenwriter, voice actor, musician and a designer. I'm currently working on a huge project called "Super Nuke Bros. Melee" - a Flash game inspired by Super Smash Bros., wich is promising to be good. Oh yes.

In this game, we're having a system where you can collect various CD's, to add to your music collection. This way you can unlock new pieces of music to play on a stage.

I came here asking for reinforcement. We're looking for artists who want to provide arrangements of their favourite videogame themes. Overworld, Boss Battles, everything. I've listed the franchises you can choose from here:

Here are the rules:

Every franchise listen will be assigned with 2 songs maximum. If the list clears, you'll be able to make one for that franchise.

Please post wich song you'll do from wich franchise before starting a song.

You are allowed to edit a song you've already made, only if it is significantly different.

Only choose from these franchises, and don't take a random song like "Level 2 from the spin-off game's sequel", if you get what I mean.

All these franchises won't be represented by a character per se, but we'll need arrangements for them anyway.

When a franchise (Let's say Pokémon) has 2 songs already done, the franchise will become red.

Please check this thread to ensure you're not doing work for nothing, since the song you want to do might be taken.

This looks like a big project.

However, you'll probably have to post some screenshots if you want to get musicians hooked up. It can help them in the music writing process, and if your game looks good, a lot of musicians will be eager to help you for sure.

As for me, i could give it a try as well, if i can. If i do, i'll make sure to let you know.

Yeah, you could have checked the site, but I made some for you right here.
I'm sure you'll see the potential. We have TONS and TONS of stuff, we just
don't want to announce it yet. Piece by piece. The game already has about 9 playable stages and 14 playable characters.

This looks like it could be the best computer version of Super Smash to date. Unfortunately, I'm kinda busy at the moment, and can't help, but I can post to bump the thread.

That's a really big selection of video game franchises, too.

Just so you know, i'm arranging some pieces at the moment. One from Fire Emblem 7 and one from Sonic the Hedgehog (the very first one). I also plan to do more if everything goes smoothly. So, yeah, i guess you can count me in.

Ah, alright. It's great to hear someone's already on a Fire Emblem piece. Looking forward to both of 'em. Ofcourse, keep the thread updated if you want to show the piece so far. =)

Well, I think I'll make a exclusive remix of my Reef of Fire song, just for the game.. and I'll mess around with those other games and find songs I like. Otherwise I'm all up for this.

I'm doing a Dance Version of the Mines theme from Donkey Kong Country 2.

I could let you hear an almost complete Work in Progress already if you want.

I absolutely love your Metroid song. I've already added it to the game's Origional Soundtrack folder (Wich is over 50 songs now), but I'm willing to replace it anytime you edit it.

Hey hey, guys. Just wanted to say I'm another member of the staff for this project. I've done the arrangement of a good portion of the standard soundtrack, among other things, and I just wanted to say that you shouldn't feel hindered by genre. Almost all of the soundtrack so far is in a classical, orchestrated style. We really need something more original in there. Keep your minds open!

I've never tried video game music... perhaps I'll try remixing an FF song :)

Arround 2 minutes would be best. Don't let length hinder you, we have

Oh yeah! I like it. However, I'm not a fan of the genre, but you seemed to make me enjoy this so that's good.If someone does another DK song, please do the Main Theme or something along those lines.

Well, it should be good. However, keep in mind that the Battle themes are more popular for a game like this. I personally LOVE the Final Fantasy X battle theme.

And yes, we actually DO favor Orchestral-like songs, but variation is good.
