i already submitted a tune, but i couldn't resist making a metal gear solid song, haha. i admit i had some trouble with this one. not really my genre. but it was fun to mess around with, and i think it turned out pretty good. so here goes. the battle theme from MGS1 http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/217790

We did mention that we still want it in a similar genre to the original. Although this is the same melody, tracks from series like Zelda nd Mari would be best kept with an orchestra.

I know I already have a song in there and I know you do not prefer Dance or Trance at all.
But I just was wondering if you would like this song (even if it's just 30 seconds of it) for any Victory Tune / Credits / whatever. It could fit for the Credits best I think, but again, who am I to judge that ^^

gonna work on starfox now. i always wanted to make a good mix of corneria since i heard what ssbb team had come up with :)... was loving that song since the release date.
[EDIT]: i loved it since the song was on super smash dojo, the oficial site of ssbb.

Hmm.. I have misgivings... It lacks development and variation... plus the style is not quite right for Pokémon...
I'd say if you plan on doing Starfox, try and keep it Orchestral, or at least give it a good twist that keeps it somewhat towards what has already been heard in the Smash games.

Okay, so I'm figuring it has to be an iconic song from star wars. So the ones I was thinking about are the cantina band song, which I mus add, might have been made for a smash brothers game already if you listen to the whole thing, The imperial march (vaders theme), Through the flames, or the main title song (where the yellow words go across the screen). Let me know what you guys think.

I'd say the Imperial March or the Main Theme. You should do a pretty good job making it an origional piece =)

I'd say, try "Taking on the Shagohod" from MGS3. If you remix that theme, or orchestrate, it'll be grand.

Well, there was one track in Brawl for MGS that was actually pretty calm, and it made the level feel empty and desolated. I tried going for the same thing here, but I'll see what I could cook up.

Well, you guys have been pretty hard on the remixes, but I asked if I could and you said it was allright... so here you have it... FF8 Eyes on Me drum and bass remix.
