Only just noticed this, my eyesight must be worse than I thought. I work in the kitchen at a Chinese restaurant. Even with the massive extractor on it still gets pretty warm in there.

My first computer was a Texas Instruments TI 99/4A. I got it in 1981 - I was 14 (yes, for those who just did the math, I'm about 43.) That was also the year I began programming in Dartmouth BASIC and business FORTRAN. I also helped build a prototype Intel 8088 PC that had a whopping 32K of RAM, used a small black and white monitor for video, and used paper-tape to boot Intel/MS DOS 2.0

I graduated high school 3 years later - in 1984. I had just turned 17. Was #11 in a class of over 360. Final high school average: 96.8 (all classes, grades 10 - 12). Went to a state university - took 5 1/2 years to do a 4 year Computer Science major, with Math and Philosophy minors. Had to work full time as well. Graduated with a 3.1 GPA in 1990, at age 23

I could go on, but I'm willing to bet I'm about as old as some of your parents, or even older.

Just chalk it up to another crazy old lady on the internet (and, no, I don't have ANY cats - or any pets, for that matter).

Which is weird, because that was one of my favorite things about the Audio Portal.

Back when animated sigs were allowed. Back in the days of total Nazi moderators (no names here lol), and the epic Newgrounds Sticker flash. Back when you had to manually deposit your experience into Pico's Vault. Back in days of Quikfox, j00bie, Bonusstage, redcircle, dogma, gfoxcook, ramagi, scarydeadgirl, marcus, carmelhadinosaur, reconrebel, dobio, shittykitty, zendra, iamnone, english_rose, ozcar, shrapnel, and a smokin hot moderator named saturday. Many users I never really caught up with because they just aren't active anymore. I'm sure there's hundreds, those are just some of them that I remember off hand.
