Cronus and the other titans were sons and daughters of Uranus (Sky) and Mother Earth (Gaia). Cronus was'nt the boss and the titans were'nt bad. Some Titans was even helping Zeus. Cronus's parents told him that one of his offsprings would be the death of him, too prevent this Cronus ate , Hera, Hades, Posiden, Hestia and Demeter. Zues was saved when his mother Rhea (Sister and wife of Cronus) took zues too crete and bore the baby secretly. Zeus was looked after by Oceanid Metis.

Zeus retaleated, made Cronus drink poison and Wallah! Zeus had his Brothers and Sisters back.

Then came the Battle of the Titans then the Battle of the Giants.

Titans - 0
Gods Of Mt. Olympus - 2

Titans loose the match and are punished by being bound in chains and locked in Tatarus.

The cournicopia is this horn which has food and drink and flowers and stuff like that spill out if it.

Also balls.

Speaking of the cournicopia, does anyone else find it weird that gaia gave birth to uranus and then they got married? And they still managed to get almighty children!

Good point!

How come it's called mythology anyway? The story of Jesus isn't called mythology.

Probably comes from the word myth, since no one knows if it's true...

ehh. I feel useless and stupid for typing that since you already know

One question, what made you join the AGMC?

Me, I am very interested in mythology based movies and games, and some of the MCC regulars are here. heh.

wouldn't it be Titans- 1 and Olympians-2 since Cronus ate them?

And they Olympians enlisted the help of the Cyclops; who made their awesome weapons, like Zeus' thunderbolts and things like that.

Christianity has billions of believers who take it very seriously and live their life by it.
Mythologies are interesting reads for most people, but nothing more. The people who worship Apollo and the like are in an extreme minority and are probably insane.

Then again, so are Christians.

And a lot of stuff in mythlogies is proven wrong by science.

Thats why Greek Mythlogy is nothing more than mythology.

Exelent question, but for me it needs too be modifided, "What made you MAKE the AGMC?" Hehe.

I love Greek mythology and how things all fall into place, unlike the Bible. The Heroes were intresting and the Mythicle creatures rule.

Post stealer. >:l

Well, I like the Minotaur myths and the Spartan myths (In general, not just 300 this 300 that, lol!)
I also like the city of Troy myths, with the big horse plan and girlfriend snatching, brilliant, I wonder with Paris actually scored before they escaped troy.

With all this discussion about myths the stories in the bible are myths if u don't believe in them. To the ancient Greeks these weren't myths they were religious truths. They actually believed that the gods lived on mt Olympus. Also they are many documented sources that prove that Jesus actually was a person who did exist.

Also I joined this group becuase I like to talk about mythology. I am in Latin and that's how I know most of these myths.

There are a billion Catholics in the world, so add all other denominations too and you've got an impressive figure.

And I joined cause I like Mythology. Simple as that.
