Good until level 3, then the controls don't respond (I just keep falling over the edge.)

Just finished the game.
Great game and love the ending.
I would suggest putting a final boss before the ending just to make it more interesting.
I'm unsure why, but as soon as I hit Level 18, I'm hit with a massive lag spike. The entire game slows down to a crawl when before it was buttery smooth, and inputs take as long as a half-second to finally register.
