really well done! the game was quite quick, and the attacks felt a little slow.
Initially, the jumping seemed too low compared to most platformers, but it was a comfortable difficulty on second thought. The whip did seem too slow, though. I did like the mechanic of knocking the king's bullet back. Although, that doesn't make sense for a whip. If you're sticking with a whip, I'd encourage you to use whip-like mechanics such as pulling objects and hanging/swinging from fixed poles. It would be really fun to see this game feature a mix of environmentally reacting tools in addition to the whip like a sword, shield, boomerang, etc.
