Very nice. Simple controls, entertaining gameplay, a bit of a challenge at times (the birds give me trouble, but that's not a negative).

I like the game but I don't understand why the space bar is the jump key and not the up key. What is the up key for in this game? It is difficult to fight when you are using the the c key and the space bar for fight and jump. J/K is also a bad combination because I then have to place my left hand on my mouse pad on my laptop. I personally find it easier when the fight key is used by my left hand and jump is the up key. I appreciated that you avoided the z/y because I have a QWERTZ keyboard.
Short but very cool.
I love micro-pixel art styles, so you won me with the looks, aside from two things: the ground, which I think could look better if was textured just a bit more, and the whip, which looks more like a cape. A particular bug I found is that you cannot die to the environment. The final blow can only be done by an enemy. The jumping and attack feel great, and the simple enemy patterns allow you to get a grasp on them early on. I hope to see more in the future!
Oh, and anyone reading this, you can hit the balls back to the boss.
