Reviews for "Loot Hero"

Seems impossible to lose

I give this game half a star only because it's the lowest possible ranking. I guess I'm being generous. Loot Hero is by far one of the single most boring games on Newgrounds. Hold the mouse button on the right side of the screen to proceed. You smack into enemies and you both loose some health. If smacking into an enemy will kill you, just don't do it! Stand there and your health will restore on it's own, the enemies will not even attack you. This includes bosses. I've seen games even more redundant and dumbed down than this, and they were a blast due to it's ironic comedic nature, but this game wants you to take it completely seriously. There is no entertainment in wasting my time. The awesome art style and good soundtrack are both wasted on an absolutely terrible game.

Damn plagiarist.
Who the hell rips off Skullface?!?!

VaragtP responds:

Who is skullface?

And this is an RPG? absolutely ZERO story, I just want all of you to remember that this is Newgrounds...
I liked the music and the retròpixelart, but this game doesn't mean anything, you just click right or click left buying some upgrades...

This is about as boring a game as I've ever played, or could imagine playing. Run to the right, upgrade at the shops that appear every couple of screen lengths, repeat ad nauseum. I suppose for variety you can do something adventurous like running to the left and continuously upgrading. The five levels are really just the same level with cosmetic differences; No variation in terrain, same upgrades available at the shops, the same five enemies (small guy, small guy riding a small creature, bigger guy, bigger guy riding a bigger creature, biggest guy). There's no risk at all. If a player does try to run into enemies too fast and starts to take damage all he/she has to do is stand still and regenerate because enemies are stuck in place and won't take the one step forward needed to finish you off. When I did finally die because I had taken my eyes off the screen and continued to rush to the right without upgrading all I had to do was click on my character and I was back, no harm done. I repeated the process a few times and didn't see any indication that lives were limited so there's absolutely no reason to think strategically, heck, to think at all. Finally, there's no replay value. Supposedly enemies get tougher every time you beat the dragon, but by then you've already upgraded so many times that the enemies will always be inferior to you. Holding down the right arrow indefinitely is not a game.
