This is really nice and sweet. I really like how you use the colour scheme. It gives out the dramatic feels. Great choice of music.
Though i did get a little confused in the beginning. Had to watch it for the second time to realize that there's 2 different characters.
I totally understand your position on feeling emotionally detached and not feeling satisfied with the ends result, but this is easily the first Flash animation I've ever seen that gave me that emotional chill down my spine. I feel like leaving the details of the friendship less specific allows the viewer to be able to throw themselves into the mix more easily.
Seriously, though, amazing job. 5 stars without question and Woodward's music fit perfectly.
Very heart warming, I think it was a success both visually and story-wise. I would make a live action film like this if I could.
