Reviews for "The Open Bundle"

Half a star for effort.
Not worth 10,000$
This helps with nothing against copyrighting, it just seems like you are using people against all the copyright crap going on to scam people into paying you money..
"OMG internet is like a zoo now! Pay us 10,000$ to get stuff.."
I really don't get where you are going with this.
Only way I see this working would be "making the money before we release the videos, games, ext.. to the public" but they are already out there (other then the source code).
So I don't know I just don't see this as necessary at all and just a way to get money off people.

I was originally going to give this no stars, but then I realized that even a con artist deserves credit, especially when his work is done in a unique manner. Don't get me wrong, I'm not insulting you as creators, I'm merely saddened, no disappointed with how you are trying to raise money for "worthy causes", which you forgot to mention was your own back pockets. I can understand the meaning behind the flash, obviously copyright these days can get out of hand, but there's a reason for it. It's not simply placed to build a wall between developers/artists and the community, it's there so those people can actually earn credit, respect and in the long run money for their creations which I'm sure they put a lot of love and effort into making. Also this is in no way a close comparison or a combination of Kickstarter and The Humble Bundle. The Humble Bundle generates money for charity, as well as for itself and developers. Kickstarter enables inventors with amazing ideas to get them produced and put on the shelf. You are simply selling your merchandise with a false message, and once you've earned a fixed income you're giving it away. These are just my opinions, but reading through the reviews many others seem to think the same. I like everyone in this group, I just don't like what the group stands for.

hypocrite

I don't want any of the stuff in that bundle. Why? Like RPG maker sprites, a bunch of people are going to be using it if it becomes popular. I can make my own art and while it won't always original (it's damn hard to make something original these days) it will be unique. I can't make music but I can hire someone to compose a unique song for my project. The only thing I would use these for are placeholders.

RPG maker sprites and those free-to-use songs technically look and sound nice but because you see and hear them everywhere, they become boring and cheap.

And your "no copyright" message doesn't make any sense. Copyright has a damn good reason for existing. Also you have some gall to say that corporations only use copyrights to get money while you're trying to use your copyrights to get $10,000.

so if you reach your goal of 10 000, you will public all the work made until now? nice try, but I don't think that your work is worth 10 000 dollar. Know if you would publish everything your have made AND everything that your still making it could be considerable.
