It was a great game, but it was WAY too short T_T

Well, I don't know if this is just me, but there was I couldn't see the health bar and I didn't see the point of XP
Really nice game, nice graphics, story seems nice.
My only problem, and it is quite a big one, but be partly my fault, is that I got stuck in an area where seemingly endless zombies were attacking. I ran out of ammo for the sub-machine gun, respawned in the same spot with no ammo for it, and the only thing I could do was either stay in the same place and die or restart the whole thing. While I'm all for a level of difficulty, it is quite frustrating to reach a dead end like this...
