Reviews for "Mars Colonies Demo"

It started very promising, but there are a lot of unclear things, such as the On/Off of the buildings, it is never specified how does that even work, thus building the required things still didn't produce me anything at all.

I can tell there was a lot of effort put into this and i'd love to play the whole thing, but not being able to beat just one stage because of lack of instruction makes it very unattractive.

I can see this as a great play, it does not need polishing, it needs to fix its basics.

While I really like this game, and the versatility that comes with it - the fact that the workers do not care which things should be build first makes it - at least for me - quite hard to play.
Not only that, I had a game where I lost, because instead of bringing iron to the factory, they decided to carry food instead...

It was okay, but takes a lot of time to get anything done.

It's okay. Like others have said, you could really use a mechanism to prioritize tasks. Colonists kept trying to repair after a dust storm when the real threat was the fact that an oxygen station needed to be built. Five minutes later, all of my colonists had resigned due to lack of oxygen while the buildings damaged in the dust storm would have been fine. There's something about the AI, too... Say I commission a building for construction. It needs 5 resources. Why can't a supply train of colonists bring those materials all at once, therefore speeding up the construction process? Hotkeys would also be useful, especially the tractor beam. It's hard enough to click on those tiny colonists while they are moving.

I am with the others on the lack of a in-depth instruction guide, however i see massive potential in this game, it reminds me somewhat of sim city 4. make a sequel with a much more in depth instruction guide, then you can see alot more 5s coming your way, as well as introduce hostiles once the player can handle them, say after 3 or 4 missions instead of on the second one.
