Reviews for "MOON"

great idea. awesome style. HORRIBLE gameplay. movement is way too slow. controls should be slightly simpler for full keyboard use. better luck next time.

EventHorizon responds:

Ok, thanks for your review :(

John sure moves slow for someone in a low-gravity environment.

First of all i felt like you could have done better, much better.I dunno why you have limited yourself to side scrolling camera when you could have done it in isometric perspective and add some more darkness or view more from the moon. When it comes to gameplay then quite honestly you could have make this a flash animation right away. And when it comes to horror or terryfing factor there is almost none-you said you took inspiration from the movies you that you have mentioned but those movies(surprisingly i have seen them all) had pretty much horror atmosphere and at least until like few minutes before the end of the movie you were not sure what is really happening-so yeah sentences like "OH MY GOD WHAT WAS THAT?!?!IS THAT REAL?!?!I AM SCARED!!!" won't build much of a mystery story nor horro atmosphere, now would they? But the visual part of this game is quite good - better luck next time i know you can do much better man.

When I saw the tags, popularity and title of this game, I assumed it was going to be a fantastic game with an exceptional storyline and beautiful gameplay. What I instead got is an extremely tedious movie with a terrible plot and irritating controls. To move, you use the arrow keys. Makes sense. To select, you use the mouse. WHY?? IF YOU ONLY GIVE US ONE OPTION ANYWAY, WHY NOT HAVE US USE THE SPACEBAR?? This brings me to the plotline... There is none. Having soon been bored by the simple back-and-forth space adventures of Commander Walks-Slow, I decided to do a little exploring of my own. You can't... the game instead forces you to crawl through mundane scenes in the life of a poorly rendered space man. In all, this was an a fairly ambitious idea (although not entirely his own idea, read the description) that simply did not work. I give it two stars for at least giving a fair effort.

intriguing and .....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.... boring
