Reviews for "A Tale of Colours"

The game itself has a lot of potential, it is just te bugs that make it so damn annoying to play. First off, running is so slow and sticky that it is easier to jump around than walk/run. Also, wish you could cut off gliding with tapping Z.
Not sure where to always go and what to do is a problem too, wish there were hints or something every now and then (:

You CAN cut off gliding by tapping the down key

Overall I find this game very cute! The music is nice, great sound, and the animation is very smooth. One the other side there have been a few glitches, and my keys keep getting stuck. My favorite thing to do is slide down the waterfalls!

Being a fellow Stencyl developer, I was ecstatic at the start to see such a nice game coming from Stencyl... unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. The controls were a bit loose, but what really killed it was the airship with the collision boxes totally visible. I really wish the polish had been a bit higher on the game. It's still one of the best Stencyl games I've played... but it's not the game that finally breaks Stencyl into the general market that I had originally hoped for.

I look forward to seeing your next endeavor though (pun intended if anyone catches it).

Very well thought out story and fun to play in spare time. However; I do have some complaints. Like many of the other posters; the controls are very awkward. Why couldn't you have made jump the UP arrow instead of Z? Personally, it would have made more sense to switch the functions of UP and Z and maybe made C the combat button; feels more comfortable. Another complaint I have is that when you first walk up to a Ram or such, the sound is just fine, however; the second you walk past its butt the sound seems to glitch, increases the volume by 100%, and has a ear piercing screech. I know this isn't an error on my part because it happens on both my laptop as well as my desktop and happens every, and I mean every, time you walk past a Ram.

All in all, its a fun game to play if you are looking for a fun platformer. Fix those problems and I believe it will be fantastic.

Not bad, liked it
