Reviews for "Snowdrift"

it looks like you used some sprites from a game called "wild arms" didn't you? lol- i loved that game!
anywho, i liked the survival aspect of this game, you nailed that part of the game, but it felt too slow for me for the first half of my playing of this- the second half was spent frantically gathering supplies before the darkness comes ^__^ but all-in-all i think it's one bloody hell of good game and that you got some serious talent! keep it up! can't wait to see what you come up with next ^__^

Quite a good game, especially the scream in the middle of the night gave me total shivers. But had to quit just because of getting bored because absolutely nothing happens. After a while i was trying to calculate the randomness of nightmares and their percentages, just because of nothing else to do.

I have to give it to you, you used horror extremely well. But a little more depth would be better. For example, after a while i had collected and fed so much wood to the bonefire it would probably consume the house :) but it would still say "lingering embers" to my frustration. In a game like this one would expect more impact of one's decisions in the gameplay. For example, why not use wood and berries to trap rabbits?

Just my two cents on a quite good game.

this was good, I even jumped a couple of times, sadly, I got a bug where I got stuck in the house, but from outside, It was when I got in the house area and a forest appeared, then I began to walk and the the house appeared again from nowhere aaaaabd I got stuck :P

Nice game. It does have that creepy feeling that there's someone watching me sleep, but the screamers aren't that scary. I was practically waiting for them, plus you can scroll down to avoid seeing them. The game isn't scary when you're playing with two people, but as I am alone it is very hard to play without getting weirded out, particularly when random people start screaming at me for no particular reason. I did like that little girl that appeared randomly and called me Daddy. I don't care if she was a ghost or not, I still wanted to take her home with me :-)

I quit the game at day 28. It was interesting at first, but the game became a "stay out of menus as much as possible" race for food and water. While that may put a rush on things, I was able to survive for an extremely long time doing nothing but the exact same things over and over again. I am fairly confident I can continue on or another 4 days if I don't run into any rabbits, which would extend my game by another 2 days.

Is there an end? Do I get anything if I still survive?

You make it fairly clear that your intention was to have the player survive for a long period of time, but never indefinitely (unless they wanted the other endings that I have read about in the other reviews). For the player that is capable of pushing the game past the point of "fun," it just gets ridiculous to keep going. I have no indication as to whether I should just die or keep playing. The game gives me no idea as to when to actually stop. I have no goal, no progress. I don't even have changing texts or events that inform me that there was a point in playing more. I have no direction.

Am I supposed to just die?

Placeable responds:

If you have the bad ending you could play on forever until you die really, that's when you get the ending.

As for the Good and Neutral one you you get hints on what to do. Not much so on the Bad one because... well, you did BAD! :P

You have an ending if night time start as soon as 09:00 on the morning, that's the "End Game".

Good job on making it to 28 days but I would advice you to go die in the game (Oh that sounded strange).
