the amount of thought put into this game is immense; the soundtracks are great and the spriteworks on the background is wonderful, almost every tile has a comment and use. The atmosphere is simply amazing and it gives a very classic sierra vibe. The beginning is wonderful and was a great opener for a modern detective fiction. I thought I'll be in for some touching story telling with great characters.
And then fifty fetch quests hit me in the face.
I wish the gameplay were a little engaging, I'm not a huge fan of designer logic fetch quests. Hell, I had to read a guide to figure out that I can only use a very specific corner of a bar window to blunt a nail instead of the random street dumpster or wall.
You mentioned that there are hundreds of solution and the path is not always linear, but I don't think I ever got to it. I'm still going to vote high for the amount of polish and atmosphere put into this game. I'm a little concerned that you fell in love with your game before the players had a chance to, you might want to... casual-ize it a bit on future releases.
