Reviews for "Alight (in dreams)"

Very interesting!

Probably the least enjoyable thing about this was how hard it was to get a single medal. Oh well, this certainly had great graphics and detail to spare. The coolest thing was learning how to limit yourself with the wings you had. You had to stop yourself from becoming arrogant, or else you would run out of power. The best thing to do is to really look everywhere to see your environment. You would be surprised at how useful that Shift key can be.

It was weird how the perspective and sizes seemed to change. This kind of touched me on a spiritual level. You would never think those crows would be strong enough to kill you. Everything just moves in such a smooth manner and it makes you wonder what is supposed to be a dream and what is real in this game. The darkness makes a good nightmare.

Truly great

I didn't want to review this until level 8, and I assumed you had to get all clocks to do so, but level 6 on the clock is a bitch. Anyway, this game is truly great and it clicks with me, & my fear of ever being this depressed and numb. I love the atmosphere this game creates. Also the ending where he lights the candle to the curtain reminds me of the Katatonia song "chrome."

Cool

i just dont get it...

nicccce!

lurv the engin and feel of it all :) ty

Multiple Endings, mean multiple interpretations

This game really surprised me in its difficulty yet its simplicity, causing rages with one item, while a different item had caused you to survive. It was really awesome how you blended in so many different themes and caused a very cool trio of endings.

MASSIVE SPOILER:
Getting the candle in the majority of the levels causes you to wake up hence the name of the game "Alight". I saw the hindering of smoke as a danger at the beginning of the game and realized "What if he didn't blow out the candle?" The growing importance of smoke made me realize this, and the significance of the candle later on because it was given to him by his mother made me realize the true importance of the candle. The plot of the game was him dreaming of his entire life flashing before his eyes. (No pun intended) He was about to die, but he was experiencing the high and lows of his life. Only when he would come to terms with himself and his mothers death, he would truly realize that he has to remember the significance of everything around him.
