You deserve better scores...
For a 30 sec short it was alright. But that first scene with the birds and the one building, the animation and scenery blew me away. I haven't seen your other stuff but judging on that first scene you could make something very cool with the whole oil paint look. Besides that everything else looks like a half assed job,especially the characters.

That ending was pretty fun, and your artwork was AMAZING. Yet the joke should've gone farther, and then in turn better.

the style was cool looking but the end was... very abrut to say the least, their wasn't even time for any reactions except for the pilots saddend expression which really countered the potential comdey of it.
for the sake of your uni project
it's not flying. it's gliding. dude.. physically, both are falling. a glider can only use his wing to use the most area of air lifting him. but flying is gaining height. gliding is not. thus it is no opposite

I liked the art direction and the punch line. I don't see why you thought it was terrible? Could do with a bit more animation in the background to bring to help bring it to life.
