Reviews for "Battle for Alandria"

good

it was pretty good, it can get a little repetative, but its fun. good job man

Not bad!

Not a bad game overall. Loved the music especialy the title one from Age of Wonders i think.

EXCELLENT!!

Great Game.
Areas to improve:

More classes even if its beat the game play as the Necro's

More upgrades. Seemed all I ever did was build one Fire Mage in the begining and max him out and then add a Fully upgraded Pike after and it beat every level just adding one more piece when the gold became available.

More interactive maps not sure how to do this but going up every level grew weary. I could click next wave. go write an email come back click next wave again.

Fun

This is a great game, so please don't hate on me if I go straight to the things that could make this even better.

First off, there were some major typos/errors in the tooltips and dialogue boxes. I'm not sure if those were through a translator or something (as in if this game was originally made in another language), but some of the phrases were confusing at best, and downright annoying at worst.

Secondly, the gameplay can very quickly get repetitive and boring. Since you start off with all types of soliders avaliable, the same amount of money every time, and the same of battlefield terrain (straight up and down, charge and meet in the middle), all you have to do is find a half-decent combo of upgrades/troops and stick with it every time. Seriously, most of the maps are pretty big with plenty of cover/possible routes and all we get to use is one little green square near the bottom?

Lastly, the lack of need of strategy might appeal to some but might ruin the game for others. Really, making sure your troops at least weaken the enemies', and keep hitting the enemy boss with your special attacks. I doubt most people have had a single victory by defense. It's almost laughable how one Elite Archer with 10 haste points can easily wipe out the entire enemy army and at least half of the boss' health.

Overall, this is still an addicting game that's fun and time-consuming. Keep it up!

Sweet!

As an experienced, yet casual gamer, I really enjoyed this game. It was just challenging enough to where you have to think on what units you're using and when you upgrade them, but not so challenging as to MUST have the perfect combination to get the upper hand, nor too easy to where it didn't matter what you threw at the bone-daddies.

You can tell that english may not of been your first language, but its good enough to know what you're saying. For some reason, I love how instead of saying "To do this, click that" you say "This activates upon pressure on this button" Such a versatile language, despite what the sticklers may say.

I thought that it was brilliant how you could personalize the balance between spells that help your troops in the melee and upgrading your king's own combative abilities. I noticed that when your king gets experience when he makes the kill, but destroying the enemy early through troop prowess gives you a big bulk of xp was absolutely brialliant. Bravo!

Anyway, loved it, still loving it, and I hope to see a sequel to this with even more troop options.

P.S.: Air King FTW!! :D
