Reviews for "Battle for Alandria"

Interesting concept.

It was an okay concept, but the battle style is stiff and not very interactive. It's okay if you just want to sit around an level up with the occasional spellcast. The graphics were nowhere near as good as the into and menu screen promise. Also, the spelling errors and awkwardness of the writing killed the ambiance of the game. You need a little more direction with the mood you want for the game, do you want it to seem like a hopeless task or a hero battling valiantly against evil? I think you could do better, seeing how the beginning was rather visually appealing. A little more time on the writing for the story and explanations of the game interface wouldn't kill you either, I think.

Neat.

This is a really new idea. However, you need to tweak it... A LOT.

It needs far more balancing... The first 5-10 levels were just puting out someone to distract the enemy while i target their leader.

Then I had to get more mana to target their leader... still ignoring their guys...

Then even with 5 mana maker guys, I couldn't make enough mana, and I was way outgunned.

You really need to work on the balance. I had two levels left to beat and I barely had half of the upgrades... I felt to be competative from now forward I would need most or all of the upgrades to beat the last two bosses. Not good. That would take days of doing the same battle over and over again.

Also... exp is a little screwy. Low levels give too much and high levels not nearly enough.

Unbalanced

Elite archer with full levels in attack speed is insta-win...
The idea is good, but the execution is horrible.

Not all that good.

I thought the game was far too easy and reminded me of another game called Genghis Khan. Actually very similar. It is far too easy to kill the bosses with normal units. Unless you can make the sequel (if there will be one) more original and improve on the things which others have written you will get a mediocre game like this one.

meh...

this is game has potential to be great, alas, trying to play this game for even 5 minutes made me mad with the scrolling issues on the game. "i don't to look that way, I'm just trying to pick a hunter." And i didn't like that when a mission is over, all my money was gone by buying people, and then all my people that i just bought were gone too? Maybe it's just me but that seemed like a ripe off. Maybe instead of all my warriors gone after there's like a bank where all the warriors still living will be put.
