Strategy I used.
Mass Healers that cost 9x Gold.
They have 3 regen aura that stacks so you will have a bunch of 150 hp units that heal 3hp per unit you have. So with 4 its 4 units with 12 hp/s plus it can heal your master.
With this you can win most missions.
After that you can do this :
Upgrade one of the Healers to Lifesteal and upgrade Attack Speed to 11 to get 20 Attacks per Second.
Then upgrade damage.
With the gold you have you can also buy the Corrupt Mage that can make the boss miss 45% of the attacks with his manual cast spell also he reduces 7 armor on the enemies and has nice attack / range.
or you can buy the Frost Mage that gives +70% Armor and -100% Attack Speed Spell on the boss.
or you can buy a Lifesteal Healer + Anti-Armor Archer , give 13-14 Levels of Attack Speed to the Archer and rest on Damage. He will do so much damage and will heal so much with the Lifesteal Aura that as long as you can keep both units alive they will eat 2000-3000 HP from the boss in no time.
Now iwth the Master King :
Upgrade your master attack to 9.
Always position your units the most far as possible from the enemies , because doing that you can use the attack power of the king against melee units making it a breeze to gain gold and for your units to win the battles.
Heal the King as needed with the Healing Power.
HP to 9.
Everything else in Armor.
I like the Wind King. ( He has 70-196 Damage on Level 9 Damage )
The secret to this game is overpowering your King. So he can do lots of damage for free.
And using Spells to debuff the enemy king for faster kills or buffing your king with protections / heals to recover lost hp.
So Mass Mage Units is the way to go Healers are awesome.

my team was:
1 Elite Lancer for tanking
1 Elite Archer for stupid damage (atk speed!)
2 Elite Healers (or 1) for obvious reasons
6 Mage beginners for max mana and meatshield! (awesome!)
always earthquake, and Earthen fangs for level 10 and some others.

this game is so easy when you think about it..plus gotta giv some credit to Zock..
all you have to do is upgrade your leaders first ice power thing the whole game(top right shiny thing with leaders image) then when your in the battleground just buy the fist mage which is 5 dollars and upgrade them howver you want...and then just use your leaders power to kill the badguy leader and boom you win the level and on to the next..
