Reviews for "Looming"

i amlost finished the game

all but the 3rd and second to last ending, i find myself running out of answers for the riddles but i did enjoy the game, i found all the relics and i soon found myself reading all the infomation they had to offer, it created a beautiful story of nihilism and humanity, it's a brilliant piece of work, i only wish i could find the other two endings i'm missing =/

great game + penis!

I thought the atmosphere was excellent, everything from the audio (wind, quiet SFX) to the black and white shading. I was intrigued by looming, and have even drawn much inspiration from it for my d&d game.

The relationship between september and january was great, although I must admit, early on I didn't read anything, so I missed a lot. I'll clear the data and go back, though. I'm hoping there is some conclusive ending, although I'm not sure there will be.

my favorite part were the stars. using them twice was very clever. I won't say more, though, for fear of giving too much away.

I've completed everything but the second dot and the second secret medal. I'm determined to figure it out on my own, but I'm stumped right now. but then, maybe tomorrow. there's always more time to spend in looming.

Oh yes, there are some accidental penises hidden in the paths. probably accidental, anyway.

awesome game

a post somewhere in the very back touched me up on the diagram and what the four not so obvious signposts did to get the last two portals

it was surprisingly enjoyable once given a chance
please make more :D

Awesome

Personally, this game is great. its a refreshing break from all the intense, action-filled games that everyone seems to be obsessed with lately. It's suspenseful, expansive, and a challenge finding everything. I think the BGM lends a kind of horrer-type feeling to the game, because the blowing wind and strange sounds make you think something is going to jump out at you from nowhere at any moment (call it a side-affect of being addicted to horrer-survival games :D). I'm confused on one thing though; i've found every artifact (i checked), and every hidden signpost (i think), but the last signpost says go south to find a portal if i've discovered them all. I do so, but i cant seem to find the portal, or to make it appear, please help? It's stressful looking for something that wont appear :/.

simply amazing!

In a time with so many meaningless, pointless games, Looming is a glimmer of hope. If more people would turn towards ideas that make you think and are a unique experience, places like NG would be much more fun. There are too many games now that are just the same thing in different forms, and it's good to see someone brave enough to break the trend. Thank you for such a meaningful and fun-to-play submission.
