Reviews for "REDDER"

perfect

well, for me, this game it's perfect.
I have all 27gems and all map complete. But I only found 1 secret area (the one at the bottom-center of the map)....

Hmm.

A huge build up to the last gem, and well I wont spoil it for anyone else, just let me say it was quite a turn. At times it did get a little annoying and I still haven't found the other two secret rooms, I still loved this game. Bravo. 10/10

Terribly addicting

Excellent gameplay. It was a pleasure to explore the planet. The puzzles were just of the right difficulty, beatable yet satisfying.
This game had a gripping sense of atmosphere, between the music, the beginning cutscene, and the incredible sense of aloneness and mistery as you traversed the extensive map.
Great level design and an interesting take on a metroid game mechanic-- not having weapons made this pure platformer. I also had fun finding those secret areas, it reminds me of the fun I had with super Nintendo.
I ADORE the effect of increased distortion/glitches, what a great idea! and plus, the medals were fun to get.
Very well done!

Great!

This game was really awesome! The only actual glitch I found was, after beating it yesterday with two secret rooms and coming back to it today to find the last one, it reset my secret room counter :< So when I found the missing one, I got the medal saying I found one room and had to re-find the other two. Not a super big deal, though, 10.

Beautiful. Amazing. Retro! :D

This, ma'am, might be the coolest and most wonderful flash game I've played since Time Fcuk. It's certainly bigger than the aforementioned game.

As soon as I pressed that Map button for the first time, and saw the square rooms... I knew it would be similar to Metroid, and I decided then and there to play all the way through the game. Now, I'm glad I did.
The graphical "glitches" made me feel hard-pressed for time (even though I wasn't; I had to keep saying to myself, "You've got all the time in the world...") and added to the alien sense of things. Then, as the game went by and more and even the hazards changed, I got anxious to see what would happen when the game was done. For the final few gems, when even the protagonist was starting to 'blurb' into a white square, I got worried. :P Then the final graphical arrangement, for the journey to the ship..... genius. :D

Music-wise, it was a masterpiece. The initial piece was too good to mute, too mysterious, too... vague. I had the game paused for a while at one point when I suddenly heard the pitch fumble, and I instantly went back to playing just to hear one more blurb like that. About two-thirds in, I couldn't even recognize the original piece anymore. The music fading in and out was a nice touch. For the final stretch back to the ship, the music was so close to ambiance that I swear I thought, if I were to stop playing, I'd still hear the music in my home. >_>

The gameplay was extremely nonlinear, which is a fantastic thing these days. Too many games have so much story, so much direction, so many objectives in them... not even the 2D platformers of today can go two levels without a dialogue box telling you where to go. I find it remarkably similar to the original Legend of Zelda, but with the platforming look of Metroid. The concept was so simple-- Explore Mars, grab gems, touch green to make green and red to make red. You didn't need a complex, eight-hour CG cutscene to tell gamers that, and that's what's so beautiful about it. :)

The map, itself, is magnificent. Each section seems to realistically merge with the next, and there is an astonishing amount of diversity in the map. The surface of Mars made me feel so free, while the closer to the bottom I got, the more claustrophobic and tight the corridors seemed to get. The areas close to the ship reminded me greatly of Metroid. ...wait, no, the whole game did! In a good way, I mean. ^_^

Overall, this game is deceptively simple (oftentimes I'd see a gem behind a wall, and spend minutes exploring for a way in only to find the access in an obvious room) and artistically gorgeous... and it's such a labyrinth! xD If I could give it any higher than ten, believe me, I would. 8D I love you for this game.
