Reviews for "NG Flagging Guide 2"

I still don't understand flagging

I've flagged portal spam and racist stuff before as "malicious", and I've also flagged comments that were vulgar and racist. And for all that effort, I end up with a garbage whistle. So, basically, while you state the flagging "rules" as such, it seems they're subjective and really based on whim.

Little-Rena responds:

Portal spam doesn't brake the rules in a lot of cases, so flagging spam is just a waste of time, as for racist stuff, it should be flagged as "hateful", a lot of it passes because people don't bother to check.

I can't see why vulgar/racist reviews wouldn't be deleted to be honest, they should be, maybe it's some of the other things you've flagged?

Nice Presentation!

Much needed and long overdue. Grammatical errors aside this is a fabulous educational flash. Well presented and an absolute must for all NG noobs. Hopefully it will also have some effect on spam flash authors too, who seem to thrive on the negative reviews. I agree with your NO review is better than a bad review attitude totally. Cheers, and once again outstanding work.

Little-Rena responds:

Thankyou, sorry about the errors, yes hopefully some peopel will learn something from this.

Weak, yet informative... yet wanting.

The overall presentation (grammar, spelling, and looping music) detracted from what was to be an otherwise informative piece. The font was clear and easy to read. Koodos for that. The inapropriate content though I find a little sketchy. isn't that the reason for a "Rating system"? BTW one of the reasons that I love new grounds so much is the "educated freedom of speech" mentality that it appears to adopt. I love that I have one site that I can watch 'animations/play games with my son, and then go to and watch horror, or violence, or explicit sexual content (that some might call porn) or play some truly brutal or erotic games. I am a might bit concerned about the possible censorship aspects of this. Your rating system is the BEST and gets a 5/10. Based on the quality rating system and the Blam system, there is little opportunity for detritus to remain posted for long anyways. If there is a flash that has obvious good craftsmanship, yet offends me, or isn't my cup of tea I either rate it on that, or turn it off as I am obviously not its intended audience. Well keep up the good work.
Feel free to cc me a responce to my ng account, thanks.

Little-Rena responds:

The music can be disabled with the "Mute" button at the top.

The rating system doesn't keep the illigal stuff out necisseraly and that's what counts as inappropriate.

Well...

A lot of spelling erors, it wouldn't take that much efort to copy this into word and spellcheck it.
Nothing interesting in it, design could have been a lot prettier.
I also completely disagree with the morals this flash stands for, hunting around for bad reviews and flashes for a few points just seems wrong to me. That is not what Newgrounds is about.

Aside from that, you have done your research, the information was well put together and the quiz was kinda cool.

Little-Rena responds:

I'm not telling people to hunt round, I'm telling them about the habits of bad reviewers and where they are most common, nowhere did I say "Go looking for abusive reviews for whistle points!"

This flash is to help teach people the rules so they can spot what is abusive and what isn't, that's what it was about, you're just trying to look at this from the wrong angle.

Spelling wise, I can't say it occoured to me to spell check for much of it, since it looked right to me, the design, I do agree.

saying something has a gay story isn't abusive?
