Just, the names kinda undid it for me. Fun fact, the real Howard Hughes would have been 40 when this is taking place and even then, the idea of a house mom pilot just kinda throws it out. The idea is sound though, and the animation style is pretty cool.
Well I never mention she is a house mom. Its up to your interpretation to make out what you think is going on. She's a female pilot. There were female aviators. Amelia Earhart was a part of a formation known as the Ninety Nines. She could have possibly been a pilot in that organization. But, its up to your interpretation. Glad you liked it though

I must say, I like the style of this animation. It's a clean animation, with excellent voiceacting. I would really enjoy seeing more animations like this, but there is something that bothers me.
If you are going for this animationstyle (not just thinking of graphics), you should get all facts sorted out before you make the film. During world war 2 there were no female pilots. In addition to this, the bomberplanes which had room for people standing up were never operated by one person. You wouldn't be able to take a plane for a spin just to show your kid how it is to fly. I think it's sad that you didn't make the movie historically correct, because it is an amazing film.
All in all, very good work! I'll be keeping an eye out for more of your work in the future! Keep it up guys!

it was a little sappy. but i guess that is the point.
on all technical points, you hit high.
music, voice, and art/animation are all quite good.
my problem is, it is too flashy.
i mean you have all this talent and too little project.
saying the flash is too short would be easy. my problem is 'WHY.'
it starts out to be a simple toon about a boy and planes. then moves into a Christmas storey. from there, it becomes a journey of a boy making peace with his mother's-
his mother's death?
flight around the world?
what?
if this movie falls short of 5/5, 10/10, it is that there is no more story to tell.
we must assume the boy makes peace, and becoomes a pilot.
or AVIATOR, in the vernacular of the boy's world.
i am also curious about the father. and what about the war?
does the boy train in war to become a pilot in peacetime?

This wasn't amazing, but not terrible either. Infact it was somewhere in the middle but dont get me wrong I really like the style and even shows your effort and how well you are willing o take this, I was enlightened with this nifty flash movie, and all that it represents and thats all good as it was a decent entry. Very good animation here and the "VOICES" are awsomly perfect and so fitting for the story, you really gave it that feel of being in a different time and such. I was most amazed with all the little stuff this flash had to offer, it was alot of little things that really made me enjoy this flash, so a good effort put fourth and was pretty good i thought keep at it.

Ok so lets make this even better this submission has some good potential, And the facts are in that this could use some more changes, And I hope I can help you with that here today with a few ideas. Kinda ended shortly wish there was a tad more to the story, other then that it was pretty impressive.
