Nice twist
Finally, a sidescrolling game with original mechanics. Unlike our dear friend sharpnova, I think that having the enemies block seeds was a an intelligent game mechanic. Once you get the seeds raining down, it is possible to just try to avoid them and still get a decent score, making it fairly accessible. But, if you want greater rewards, you try to stay near the bottom and guarantee all your seeds hit. The music, while not my taste, certainly suited the scene. And for all of those who complain that there is no mute button, you can simply turn off the volume on the computer. It works just as well.
I do have a few gripes. First off, it would be nice if the different seeds were more recognizable. They do have unique characteristics, but it is still difficult to tell which is which. Also, I wish every level would start with 100% health, otherwise it forces the player to replay other levels to try and regain health for a boss fight. They must also make sure they DON'T get 100% on the level, otherwise they can't replay it. Also, the balancing for the game was a little off. After becoming addicted, I wanted to get every power, even though the last one didn't seem too functional. However, after trying a few times at 100% on the last level, I thought some attribute points might help, so I went after the last boss. To my ironic dismay, it tells me I won and shoves me off.
Over-all, great game with a unique theme and play. Not for those with a Violence Fetish.
