Reviews for "The Rise of a Knight"

Good presentation

I like the way you approached the whole "cut scene" feel to the stage. Little touches like seeing the crow fly off as I approach it is very nice. As a whole, it was a decent game.

My only complaint was that the action was a little repetitive, due to the fact that your strategy will remain fairly consistent throughout the game. Generally, beyond the bosses, most of the other creatures are just annoying distractions.

SeethingSwarm responds:

Yeah less consistency between enemies and fights or encounters in general is a good idea, thanks. Im glad you liked the animals like that crow you mentioned. I worked hard on the atmosphere and feel of this game so its really cool that you appreciate it :)

Thanks!

i liked it!

really enjoyed this game, just al round good! but like a few others said upgrades would be a good idea for this also (i agree) upgrades always make a game more interesting but i read in one of the reviews that ur still learning how to program well considering that ur still learning to program this game was a bloody good attempt!! =D, keep this kinda thing up m8! just a few things u gota do to get a 10.

SeethingSwarm responds:

Yeah I agree thanks.
Im still learning a lot about programming flash games as well as animatiion and illustration. I think upgrades and more moves are excellent ideas. The majority wants them and so do I.
So I'll better deliver in my next game :)

Finally!

This is even better than "swept to the end"! Awesome graphics, slick animations and fantastic music. The only thing that botheres me is the fact you canĀ“t save- a quite simple password system would do the job. The end was a bit confusing- will there be a second part? And why the hell are all folks already in the dungeon (king etc.), awaiting the arrival of the hero?
Keep making such games, I love them :3

SeethingSwarm responds:

Hey! I was hoping you might leave a review :)
Do you mean like the password system you used in Mashhouse? That's a good idea. Oh and this game was made with the possibility of there being a sequel. I dont know if I will focus on other projects first, but Im planning on making one.

I thought the king and everybody else explained the situation in the end quite clearly, sorry :( Well Lord Felkon basically sent a messenger to Stormguard saying that Lord Felkon rescued the princess and the king came here etc. They did not await the arrival of the guard. The guard interrupted a wedding ceremony taking place, but too late. Something fishy is going on. It looks like Lord Felkon might have put a spell on the princess :)

Thanks for the review! Much appreciated!

Sweet

Dude, your awesome man. Keep it up bro.

SeethingSwarm responds:

Thanks a lot!
I'll keep it up man :)

Very interesting...

It took a few tries in some areas but I finally figured out how to kill the big ass spider. I thought it was quite annoying that it would just spit on you over and over if you couldn't get out of the way immediately and would just be stuck there taking the damage until you died. I loved the story telling and the themes involved. I'm assuming by the way the game ended there's going to be at least one sequel correct? Silly fulkan needs to get whats coming to him.

SeethingSwarm responds:

Yeah Im definitely planing on a sequel.
Its so great that so many people want one. Sorry that the spider was so annoying. Im really glad you liked the story and the themes. Lord Felkon will get his deserves :)
Thanks!
