Reviews for "Principled Depravity"

oh shit!

you son of a bitch!

LogFish responds:

Hahah - I love that the door explodes open, it amuses me. I put the explosion noise in as a placeholder but then I got quite attached to it so didn't go find a door-smash noise!

Pretty Cool.....

It was immensly entertaining. That fight scene was brilliant. I like the style, but it could use a bit more colors. And the backrounds were all pretty plain. I love the dialogue but the whole episode does'nt really blend together. Like, the main character brings Frank in to some police office thing, and then the main dude is hunting down the guy that kidnapped his wife. That car explosion was a bit cheesy cause' it blew up but the car did'nt look like it took any damage.

Anyway, not bad. I'll probally give you a second chance with episode 2.

7/10

LogFish responds:

A second chance? Awesome, haha. Glad you liked it - I'm suprised this did as well as it did, because as you pointed out, and I am well aware, I didn't put any effort into almost any special effect, or polishing, because the sound sync problem drove me mental. If future episodes don't do that I'll be more prepared to spend time on the movie - but as it was this movie was the movie from hell for me heh. Thanks for the review!

its alright

the graphics arnt as good as i expected them 2 be but then again they were good in an artistic kinda way and yea y did he reload a full clip after pistol whipping a guy it was pretty well good just work on the graphics and ill definatly wana see this again 4/'5

LogFish responds:

Cool, thanks!

not too shabby

Instead of using the lower bit rate, rethink the option of re-voicing the entire movie. This way you can sync the words to the mouths at a better rate. Also, try slowing down the speech. It's very very mumbled, and I don't think a higher bit rate would matter in terms of actual clarity. Oh, and try some alterate music types also, the same techno beat over and over will lose appeal. but everything was really awesome with the animation styles.

LogFish responds:

Oh no it wasn't the voice that wasnt syncing, it was EVERYTHING. I think you'd rather have it crap quality and in sync, that listening to bullets hitting 5 seconds after they've been fired etc! You know the stuff, it was maddening!!

Glad you liked the style, will definately keep refining it and progressing the story in future!

My accent is a New Zealand one, we talk bloody quick compared with the average American - I should really take special care to talk slloooowllyyy - hehe.

Nicely done, but unnatural movement

Quite nicely done. However, there are two relatively important points that could use improvement.

Firstly, the sound quality is low, voice especially. It sounds like it's been clipped to my ear (I'm no sound engineer though)-try recording at a lower volume to minimize clipping and amplify as necessary.

Next, the animation is rather erratic and unnatural. Specifically, the characters' movements don't feel natural. A prime example of this is when the main character is running to his car to chase the men who kidnapped his wife-that doesn't look like he's running at all. The movements of the man hitting somebody (the camera is in the victim's PoV) also feel awkward.

LogFish responds:

Thanks - those're good criticisms, I'll be working on those in future episodes! Most useful, cheers.
