Very cool song. I think Reason has the most intuitive interface out of any DAW out there. I was using Logic and it was talking about sends and inserts and stuff like that, and it made no sense to me. When I started using reason, actually seeing the how the cable connections were routed, it makes perfect sense now. I hope to become a power user of Reason!
Damn skippy. I went to the Propellerheads Producer's conference in Toronto a few months back and was delighted to hear the guys refer to their product as a DAP instead of DAW. Digital Audio Playstation instead of Workstation is how they were painting it - I'd have to say I fully agree.
It's incredibly intuitive and you can see/hear results instantly when playing around with cables, just like with a real synth. God, I love Reason. :D

I'd lose, man! :) My rhythm skills are still where I'm lacking. Getting the hang of builds and breaks via drums but I've got to learn to start coming up with more unique 8-bar patterns and actually have them change up every 16-bars to keep the interest up. I always pay so much attention to my melodies that the drums tend to fall by the wayside a bit.

As Good As Ever
I really liked this. It kept your distinct, funky style while adding a more upbeat tempo to it. I look forward to your songs for that main reason, they're variations on an already awesome style.
Very encouraging words, man. :) I used to stress over how my music didn't really fit a style so it's nice to hear people say I'm startin' to create a sound of my own.

I guess it's cause I don't try to stick to any specific genre. Tutorials will tell you to listen to your favourite songs and break down how they do what they did... but then aren't you just making someone else's music? There's much to be learned from listening to your ears but more to be learned from listening to your heart. :)
