Very thought provoking
I must commend you for makeing such a wonderful film for those willing to contemplate its meaning. I am constantly visiting nursing homes, and the "sane" people are very much like the one portrayed in this film. Some of the unfortunate ones feel rejected by their families, and become so depressed that the shock of the nursing home, in a way kills them. Others understand why they were placed their, either it being that they did the same thing earlier in their lifetime or they lived a hard life and could do nothing to keep their children from sharing it with them that they adapt to the difficulties in the new situation like they have done so many times in the past.
Reguardless, it is a sad thing that something like this should happen to anyone. Especially someone who does not deserve it, as you expressed earlier. I am also sorry that your grandmother died but let me assure you that if she was a Christian than she is much happier, and is in a much better place. Hopefully waiting on you :)
Death is nothing more than the absense of life as we know it. Death is a good thing, it will either cause us to be freed from our old bodies and allow us to enjoy an everlasting paradise. Or cast us into our eternal demise, strangely though the choice is ours.
