Great style, man. Love the Vivaldi piece, too.
Great opening and closing motif with the tree's decay, first off.
And in general, throughout the flash... The colour and lines present are quite nice... I love how the phone, the frames, the wheelchair, the bed, etc. etc. are uneven and non-rectangular, non-square. It lends a slightly surreal, slightly despairing feel to the surroundings.
The transition from showing the grandmother and the card (who knows from how long ago) to the phone on both ends of the not-present connection between the generations... very bittersweet, very... perfect. The grim reaper's stylising was nifty, and I liked the offering of the flower and her disappearance.
My family lost my mother's parents about 10 years ago, and we just lost my dad's dad this past Thanksgiving. None of the three of them had to live the end of their lives alone (not will my surviving Grandmother), and for that I am (and I'm sure they are, as well) thankful and glad. Great flash, tastefully done, and a fitting tribute to the elderly who waste away at the end of long, mostly fruitful lives.
