hm..
I actually liked the origional better. You touched up the backrounds a lot, but you didn't really match them up well with the foreground. At the part where the red guy's standing looking out, the point of that scene is the sunset/sunrise/whatever. He's supposed to be looking out with the bright sun in the backround or whatever. It doesn't really matter much, but it just looks better that way. Also, when the guy's wife/girlfriend appears, you should leave the sun in. The whole point of some of these scenes is majestic-ness or whatever. I don't know how charliezero does it, but it makes it look a heckuva lot better. the monotonouse backround chips away at some of it. Just take away that backround. The backround does it all.
But you did have a lot of great ideas that I noticed. I personally do not have the imagination for this kind of stuff. good job
