Reviews for "--The Bard's Song--"

Expecting more, but not dissapointed

When I read the author comments, I thought to myself:"Oh, cool, it's going to be a remake of the original, only probably with a lot more animation and a different art style. It seemed like you traced Charlie Zero's stuff a little too closely. But! I really liked the movie, so it would be stupid to give it a low score.

Well-matched animation and story

Bravo! Excellent work! I thought the storyline went very well with the music, and was even a bit poignant. Head and shoulders above most submissions. Please continue to submit your work. A pleasure to watch!

I wasnt expecting this

The bards song by charlie zero is my favourite flash animation, when I saw this remake in the portal I was not expecting it to carry the same power the charlie zero can imbue into his animations, but I have to admit that you managed to have that same power that made the original so great.
I unfortunately can not say that I preferred this version of the flash but its going to sit along side the first on my hard drive for a long time to come.

i remember

I remember the original version of that flash and how touched I was by it. This version gives me the same undescribable feeling, but it's so much stronger. You must be a great artist to accomplish this, even if it's just with one person.

Where it all began.

I wouldn't even be on NG if it weren't for seeing Charlies "The Bard's Song" several years ago. To even now it's been one of my most favorite flash movies of all time. I'm really glad you guys took the time to remake such a bad-ass classic. My hat goes off to Pox for the excellent hand-drawn work and magna for nailing that first swing with the blood by the main character so well. You guys did a fantastic job on this. As a long time fanatic of the original, I wasn't let down in the least. Great job, guys.
