A very good game overall A suggestion for the sequel:
1. Get rewards for trading fish in. A great game as a nice work-to-reward ratio. About the only rewards in this one for doing things is seeing the fish in the almanac. Perhaps upgrades to the rod and/or bait for that.

Our submission to Pixel Day 2021! Walk around, talk to people, and catch some fish! Make sure to talk to John in the tackle shop to get your fishing pole first though!
Controls:
WASD or Arrow keys to move!
Z or J to interact!
X or K to cast fishing pole!
Esc to open the almanac!
When you enter the fishing game use WASD or the Arrow keys to fight the fish and fill the meter all the way to land the fish. Careful though, if you hit the wrong key the fish could get away!
Note: Saving is linked to your browser right now. In the future we'd like to implement Newgrounds API but for now your save file is dependent on the browser and computer you use.
Pixel Day 2020 is what got me to try out pixel art for the first time and so this year I had to go big or go home. Huge props to Sam who learned Unity with no prior game making experience whatsoever. Couldn't have made my fishing adventure come to life without him. Also, thank you Will for putting up with me being extra picky with the soundtrack.

loved this game but i couldnt help but get annoyed everyone in a while by the bar going up but the down gain for seemingly no reason but other than that 10 out of 10
