Fun and easy game, I played through normal mode first and only died like 2 times after day 7, then walzed through survival and then hard mode without dying once.
Tips:
- if you finish the game once, you get to keep all unlocked items and their levels for the other modes. So you could easily grind money on survival with the already good layout from finishing on normal, use the grind money to literally max out all items and then enter hard mode with already maxed out gear.
- Focus on surviving and healing, I used the drain ability much more for healing than the medkit, since drain could heal you up to 300hp if you're in a big horde, while the medkit even at maxed level only heals 50hp, which is pathetically low considering how fast you could lose that health again.
- my loadout was chainsaw, armor, drain and BFG for hard mode, BFG recharges fast and instantly kills 7 enemies close to you. The other weapons need a bit of aiming which you won't always have a chance for when running away.
- you can only use 1 power up at once, and shield is always better than double damage or the almost useless double speed, so try to stay shielded with many zombies on screen and avoid accidentally picking up something else except another shield.
-Things to improve on-
As someone else mentioned, I would've liked to have a wave counter during survival, I never knew exactly how many waves I was in since they kinda mix up later on. I played until my hand got tired, let myself be killed and only then got the medal for surviving 10 waves when I actually made it to 27... I could've quit sooo much earlier, oof.
I would've liked to see a bit more enemy variety, or bosses. Having 3 special zombies is nice, but most games have plenty more variation, something that could've been introduced with a longer campain overall. 10 levels could have introduced 9 more zombie types, 1 for each level for example. And with a longer campain there could have also been bosses every 5 or 10 levels.
I'm also sure there could have been a few more items to unlock, like for example mines, time bombs, molotovs, slow motion and other popular gimmicks.
Overall the game is still quite good, despite its simplicity. It ran fluent, even with over 30 zombies on screen, the music, although it was only one single track throughout the entire game, fit well and didn't get boring or annoying after some time, and the medals were all possible to unlock without requiring grinding for hours.
Considering the game is almost 10 years old I can only say...
good job! :)
Cool game
so this was actually a fun game you have here, I did think you could spread out the medal points more like fighter is at 25 points while the next one is at the same point gain level maybe spread those out a tad more just an idea, I like the weapon choice here this is more or less like a survivor type of game but thats what I really liked about it so nice job indeed, The zombie element can get pretty intense so you have to be on your toes, anyways you have a pretty good game here and I had lots of fun with this so nice work indeed.

A wave counter in survival mode would have been nice. For everyone struggling:
I used chainsaw, armor, chainsaw+ and medkit. Tried to focus on upgrading damage first and then armor and medkit with the spare money.
Try to take out the fire zombies first, dont let yourself get surrounded, standing still and moving the chainsaw then retreat worked fine.
Fun.
