just walking into cops killls you. why? this game actually sucks. the cooldown make you miss the target and then you die after and when you walk into cops you die and the cops fire at nothing and they can literally see through walls when you kill
Ever since he was young, Bertie has always wanted to be a serial killer. He's just earned his diploma in Murderology AND Murderonomy, and he's ready to paint the town red.
Guide Bertie through twenty levels, taking out the civilian targets, cleaning up your mess, and avoiding or getting rid of the cops. Earn bonuses for stealthily completing a level to spend on upgrades, like the quick and clean piano wire, or some stylish new sneakers.
Originally developed in 48 hours for Ludum Dare #25 (Theme: You are the Villain). I recently fixed up the bugs and added more levels, upgrades and blood.

A quick note on the music: I licensed it from AudioJungle (http://audiojungle.net/item/main-8bit-menu-theme/97146), so it's entirely possible it's also been used in other games, but I promise I didn't 'rip' it from anywhere!

I like the choice of music, but I play games with the sound off, so thanks for the mute button.
Solid gameplay, that reminds me of prisonbreak games, no bad thing. Nice Gameboy-esq colour scheme and overall aesthetic.
Now for my complaints:
Levels aren't numbered, only named. If I count lazily I think I reached level 14 (The Rat Race) before writing the review.
I often struggle to clean my messes, as my finger slipped from the C key - I find the controls slightly awkward because of it. With the wasd keyset (thanks for including it) you could try adding R as an alternative cleaning button.
Entering narrow passages as in The Cells, was slightly awkward as I kept catching myself on walls.
But despite these niggles, I really quite enjoyed the game. Well done
My inner psychopath is saying he loves it. lol
such an interesting concept for a game. genuinely love it!
Cops are a pain - but a reasonable challenge to overcome. piano wire was a rip off though - didn't seem to change the mess at all.
