About one particular medal.
The medal called "BOOM!". As far as I can tell you want us to kill 10 zombies with one barrel, not ten zombies with barrels throughout a level, or the whole game. I found it was the hardest one to get, because as of this moment I've all the other medals, and got them probably 10 or more levels ago. At this moment I'm at level 46. The barrels don't do much damage, and it's been tough for me so far to have enough zombies weak enough, and close enough to a barrel to get 10 zombies to die all at once from shooting the one barrel.
Also as I saw mentioned in one of the other reviews, it sucks that you can't go back and choose other weapons for a level, once you've started it. I was thinking of trying a less powerful weapon, so that I could weaken the weaker monsters, instead of killing them outright with the lazer/chainsaw, and try and get the barrel medal.
The game was fun overall, the weapons were well balanced to the difficulty. It would have been nice if there were some kind of extra game modes, and perhaps some kind of equipment besides weapons. I liked that there was no slowdown, though I still think the images could look better.
Would have gotten at least an 8 if I could go back and choose guns, and perhaps if the barrels were a little more powerful I would like that as well. The dynamite doesn't count for the BOOM! medal, right? Better graphics, and more equipment (weapons or not) combined with the above would have probably raised it to a 9. More game modes, a story, more variety of levels, and level design, perhaps stages where you weren't running, but maybe in a vehicle or some fortified area; teammates, perhaps even online multiplayer? Quite a few things could be done to make this a 10 for me. At this point, it gets a high 7. Fun, at least for a once through.
Nothing to say.It has zombies xD
This game was all around good. There was a nice variety of weapons and the game itself looks pretty good. I thought it was a little easy once you got weapons like the flamethrower and big last machine gun. The laser gun was just sheer overkill, haha.
I don't have much negative to say about the game. The aiming was a little awkward and for some reason I would suddenly be stuck running in one place even if I didn't click out the screen. Not sure what that was about, but it was just a minor annoyance at best.
If you make a sequel, there isn't much to improve on. I liked that you didn't have to buy weapons and there weren't rpg elements. I personally don't really like worrying about logistics in thing kind of game. More enemies, more weapons and a little polish is all I can think of that would make a good sequel. Maybe vehicles, I don't know. Great game though; looking forward to what you have coming next.
Thanks for the review man! I think for a sequel we'd just do everything bigger and better, as Glaiel pointed out the game would work a lot better seamless without gaps between levels, we'd probably work on that.
I really enjoyed the concept and gameplay, but it was hard as hell with a laptop. I can't give a bad score because of that, it lacked something. I don't know what that something is, but it can be made better.
what are you guys talking about the laser rules
