Welcome to the 2x10k Hexalist - Update #84 (1/1/2023)

First update of the year, on the first day, and we have a boatload of new additions!

Congrats @captseaton, @DRUM-SKUNK, @Walkerke, @RoboHex and @sugarsimon on jumping onto the list directly in the 3x10K tier, with 10k EXP Saves and Blams, as well as @bigjonny13 and @SHITPOASTER with 10k EXP Saves and Posts!

Congrats @GreasyRabbit, @Art3misZer0, @Bantuatha, @redmage4, @Darkshrooms, @Pienkaito and @CyanSandwich on jumping in on the 2x10K tier with 10k EXP and Saves, and @StardustKaizo with 10k Blams and Saves, and last but all but least @PudgieDaFrog with 10k Saves and Posts!

Also Congrats @Christopher, who went from having the by far biggest loss on the last update (-3949, posts) to being top gainer on this one, with possibly a record amount for any one individual month!

@DoctorStrongbad is now officially #2 too, and reigning #1 @Punisher pushes the top spot beyond 400,000 points total.

Rucklo was missing on the last update too for some reason - he's back! And there's a missing rank number that'll be fixed on the next update. Duplicate user.

Just about 22,000 points at the moment, unless you become inactive that's really a pretty big gap but things have slowly been shifting around the top of the list for a while now otherwise! Exciting times.

You can't go inactive yet, you still have a deity whistle to get and to max out with 99999 EXP. Once that's done, you unlock New Grounds+ the hardcore mode which will take 50 more years! Your grandchildren might have to finish that.

Ah I should've @'ed you sooner! XD When you pushed beyond 300k a few years back maybe, it's potentially just before you leave now then, what timing...

Could head up onto 500k and all otherwise, a million maybe, cement a statual legacy that'd be nigh impossible for anyone to surpass... it'll definitely jostle the obvious order of greats if you do retire though. That mythical lead figure who rarely posts but has stayed ontop for so long...

20 years is a commendable time.

After 18 years, I finally made it to the rank of number two gainer of all time.

This is a once in a lifetime accomplishment. The only accomplishment higher would be to reach the rank of number one.

This month was a challenging one for me, dealing with a drug addict criminal for 10 days. That is why the total was so low.

Glad to see that Iron Man streak continues as I am tied for first place with the writer of this topic.

That is a gain of 780 on number one. With a difference of 22,197.

I have finally reached the rank of number two Top Gainer of all time. Getting closer to the chance of earning the number one Top Gainer spot.

Congrats man! At this point it actually doesn't seem impossible, it's crazy how the hierarchies you take for granted really do shift with time, so slow you barely notice sometimes but then... suddenly it's all different.

That total wasn't bad at all though by normal-month-level-gains. :P Extraordinary gains around Christmas...

The numbers don't look right here, man.

The #83 update shows that he had zero medals while the #82 and #84 updates showed that he has over 5k medals. Looks like something glitched out during your last update.

I am the new second place Top Gainer.

We definitely do live in exciting times. The first day of 2023 saw me rise to the second Top Gainer of all time. Could I possibly make it to first place in the same year?

You're right, thanks for catching that!

I checked the previous update to make sure that gain wasn't an error, but should've checked further back, just assumed he'd been heavy at work gaining medals for Christmas - and since he's still below the threshold for inclusion on the Top 200 Medal Users list he wouldn't register in the top gainers there either... my bad.

Sorry @Christopher, it seems you're not among the Top Gainers yet after all!

20 years is a long run. I hope you enjoy your retirement.

It's better to go out on top, than just fade away. Trust me, 20 years is a long enough run. It's almost been 18 and a half years for me, and I'm feeling it every day. I would love to reach the number one Top Gainer, and then maybe slow down until I hit 20 years. After that, I might go for retirement as well.

I just passed 1000 saves and 220 blams

Keep it up and you'll be on this list in no time too!

NG Logs has been giving me 503 errors the last few days. Anyone have an idea as to what's up with that?

Yeah I noticed too. Sent @byteslinger a PM a day ago or so about it, no response yet.

It's a common server error that could mean a great deal of things, hopefully it's just temporary; easy to fix when she gets back.

Yes, I'm fine, just been on the road a lot. This 503 error is sporadic - when @cyberdevil first mentioned it, I logged in and it was working okay. Then a day later it acted up, then righted itself, and now its down again. I am going to reach out to the site hosting company and see what they can tell me. I'll keep you all posted - sorry about this!
