After 220 days in the army, I finaly figured out that we have internet access aviable in the mess once we have the evening off. So, here I am. Unfortunately it is not aviable in weekends, but the hell, I'm finally getting on a short evening vacation after monday... perhaps.
Hey when you are drawing these anthro female Dragons What do you usually go by more when it comes to the anatomy? Do you usually go for a more realistic animal like feel or is it like more human?
So, sorry you had to wait for the answer for so long, but nevetheless, here goes.
Well, they are not excatly dragons since they lack the wings, horns... but yes, they do have more than little dragonic looks I suppouse. Overall, I aim for the bodys main desing to be majorly like a human, but adding the scales on the front changes the look quite dramaticly. And I also use quite thin but well crafted bodies. The arms and legs are pretty human like, until when it comes to feet & hands, when you can see the difference... (3 "toes", 4 fingers ect.) And, of course, the head is nothing like a human has, expect that they have hair. And, humans do not posess tails now do they? So it's fairly a mixture of both, but I will always try to pull out that more wild, animal, reptilian side. And of course, the color work is nothing like real skin in the end, so... But I have to damit, the eyes are quite difficult for me to completely decide what to do to them. While I don't want them to look overly large, I still want them to play a part in the picture, meaning that you can tell where they are looking and the overall mood ( combined with the mouth ). That is one other difficutly, the expressions... It's not as simple as it is with human faces, expect the most powerfull expressions, since they have such a large difference when compared.

Luckily for me, I have at least a little time on my hands here at the barracks, so I already finished the Algra's demon form... It wasn't as extreme as I had hoped, but I guess it will have to do, nevertheless. I'm also trying to do something 'different', featuring yet again an aspects of both life and death... with a twist of mine...
Aaaaand of course, once I can focus on drawing only (well, almost everyone else has a weekend vacation this week but me -.- ), and since I require absolute silence / good music when drawing (and I really dont like beign bothered during that time, either...), during weekend I feel like I can draw another, well, adult pic... and since I already have red & blue, I'm expanding to black :E . . .
And in the future, possibly to green (& white!). I'm thinking 'bout naming her... Zafirah... what you think?
