What's with you guys? Why must you constantly put down us Sprite Flash artists just because sprites? There are a lot of great flash artists on NG that use sprites.

These are just a few. I know there are a lot of sprite flashes that suck ass, but don't automatically assume that a movie sucks just because it uses something that we didn't draw ourselves.

Yeah, custom sprites and edited sprites could also be used to increase to originality of a sprite movie....

Customizing sprites isnt difficult. Making 7 extra colored dots on a mass of colored dots =/= SUCCESSFUL VENTURE
Sprite movies are nothing but premade graphics tweened around--basically, an excuse for an animator to make a movie without making any graphics (unless, of course, s/he is creating custom sprites).
That being said, some people, like the ones you mentioned, are better at tweening than others.
While I do enjoy sprite movies that are tweened well, any sprite movie would be better if it had quality hand-drawn graphics.
Would I rather watch a sprite movie or the same thing with sloppy, poorly made graphics? I would rather watch the sprite movie.
Would I rather watch a sprite movie or the same thing with fantastic, "homemade" graphics? I would rather watch the one with homemade graphics.

The battle scenes are innovative, creative, and very well made. The story is pretty decent, but it could use some more originality.

Ah, I've been wondering where those bodys came from. And yeah, that series' battle scenes are great.
While I'm sure that there are many great flash artists who can animate well, but choose to use sprites in order to save time, there are just too many horrible flash artists who hide behind pre-made sprites. So not all sprite-use is bad (though it is certainly not as good as animating your own characters), but sprite-flashes are given bad reputations by bad/lazy artists who do half-assed movies.

I've watched the whole series.

Its a few more elements added to the usual "two pictures smack into each other" thats been used repeatedly ever since the first "Mario Killz Sonic lolz" flash first crawled out onto land. Shrapnel does not a good fight scene make.
The story is pretty decent, but it could use some more originality.

Finally an educated response that wasn't just "sprite movies suxors"......pretty much the only one too.....
I agree that animating your own drawn characters can help with the vision of your movie, but sometimes those who are not talented artists can be extremely talented directors. So using pre-made sprites to complete our vision is a decent way to go, as long as it is well made and not half-assed.
