i was thinking the same thing. i hope the newgrounds servers can handle the inevitable flood of noobs uploading flashes that are 10 megs for the sole purpose of pissing us off.

Hey Tom I have a few questions regarding this change:

1) With those inactive tens of thousands of users gone, will those ID's remain inactive? If not, will new users fill those IDs or will we all be rearranged. If so I will have to update my urls for my links to the AP page.

2) Previously you mentioned the fact that the user names will become web address friendly. Does this mean we could potentially have subdirectories linking to user profiles, such as http://xbrav.newgrounds.com?

3) With this update, will it be possible at some point to impliment a greater quota on the Audio Portal? Many of my songs I now encode in 192kbps and 4MB just really is not enough for these files. I know this seems a bit off topic but many of us would love it if it could even be upped to 6MB, or have increased quotas for the more popular users, just like in the Flash Portal. It would certainly be a nice feature.

The BBS users online looks weird now.

I hope there will be no regrets with the new upload limit. I have a feeling we will be getting more videos converted to flash.

Also, I think that the time to wait for the voting bar should be set to something faster than DSL. With more and more bigger movies sure to follow, more time will be spent waiting for the voting bar to show then to watch the entire movie. But thats just what I think.

You can get the UK version on Ebay, it works on the US / Canada DS. It most likely will never be appearing in the US.

Very awesome. The inactive purge is great, as is the completion of the username formatting. I can't wait to see the new layout now...

And the new filesize limit is great, even though I've yet to be anywhere close to 5 megs in my flash, anyway, lol. ^_^
