I made a video tutorial, can you add it?
Hmm, want me to make a tutorial on draw functions, colours and sounds?

Sure...I'll take as many tutorials that i can get....
But I actually would like more beginner tutorials, seeing as we don't have a lot of those
So, does this main include Javascript, or is this just Java? I remember reading something somewhere about Javascript in here.

Just Java.

I think someone should make A Java Main Discussion Thread.

I think it would make more sense to do discussion in here being it's moving so slow that there's still tutorials from September '06 that aren't on the list.
DFox is right. It does move WAY to slow. Man, I forgot about this for a while there. Thanks to Jordan for bumping.
Yes, more tutorials would be pleasing to most, including me.
:)
I might whip up a tut on linked lists, stacks, and queues in Java.

That would be awesome!
I'll write a tut on basic Applet usage e.g Drawing API and Images onscreen and some basic methods in the applet package
I have made a Java tutorial for Basic Strings. Hope this looks good.
So is this thread dead or am I missing something? I still say this thread has potential and a lot of people know Java.

Not necessarily, I decided to join in and write a tutorial about the state pattern in Java. If people like it maybe I'll make some more
I was gonna write a whole thing on client/server architecture and how to develop a simple socket server that uses threads to handle the connections. But nobody seemed interested when I posted the proposal in the lounge, so I didn't bother.
Now I don't have the time to sit down and write it out properly.

I was going to write a tutorial on using the Scanner method to get input from a user, but I don't know if I should or not.

I would say that you should, as long as this thread is getting tuts it won't die. I'm looking thru the ones that are here now.
I kinda decided to learn Java since I want to make apps for Android, and since I was always told that the leap from as3 to java isn't that hard. Maybe I'll write up something on installing and using the Eclipse IDE, since that was my biggest hurdle to getting started.
