You're in. Just be mildly active, and post all your iPod related problems here :-D. How many songs are on there now?

That's free to do in the first place, is it not?

So far I put in nearly 1600 near CD quality songs I got kinda lazy with my ipod cathching up with my CD collection but I will continue when I get a new laptop ( I noticed that I could deautorize this one on itunes so that I could hook it up to another computer)

Which hopefully will be very soon

How many Arabs know how to use computers? Install software? Reformat hard drives? Teach people to speak the English language?

Very little, I might say.

How much demand is there? The reason more people aren't IT literate is because there isn't enough demand for IT literate people.

If there's demand, supply will increase to match it, I do economics, I know this shit.

That goes for anyone in pretty much any country. Most don't know how to use computers PERIOD, because only 8% of the world population uses the internet, and only a little more use computers, i'd say something like 10%.

From that, around 1% are as computer literate as us, i'd say.

May I ask why not? I do this alot because I don't want to be cut off in the middle of a song, and be stranded wherever w/o my music :/

I would also like to know the answer to this, I charge my iPod whenever I am at home by sticking it in my iStation. I always want to have it charged up, I hate being without my music =P.

Does it actually do something bad to the iPod? Haha

Because doing that will deterioate the ipod's battery therefore it will be less able to hold a charge. Remeber once the battery can't hold a charge the ipod is junk.

Because when I used to charge it every day, I ended up with under two hours of battery life at a FULL CHARGE. It's some glitch in the software that causes the battery to kid itself that it's a lot less charged than it actually is.

Well, what did you do? I'm doing the same thing, so I should probably stop, right?

I returned the iPod to Apple under warranty (because the battery life was under 4 hours, I was entitled to a replacement:o) and got it replaced for free.

I don't know, I think it's best not to take a chance. It certainly was the case with the 4G iPod Minis.

Lolz. I could return mine if I felt so obligated because mine gets like 2-4 hours of playing overall, with partial or no backlight, but i'm not under warranty anymore. Plus, I've opened it up many times (there's a small lip from one time I fucked up, the second time I did it), my entire interface is modded, etc.

did you install the ipod software onto your computer?

If so and it now defauts on manual update (which is good since it allows you to biuld up your ipod without clogging up your hard drive) hook your ipod to the computer with either the USB or Firewire cord that came with it wait for the ipod icon to show up and simply drag whatever file/playlist to the ipod icon (which appears along with the bar showing playlists, library, and store). A few things to know when the computer recognizes the ipod the ipod will have a do not dissconnect message doing so could either corrupt or delete files to "eject" the ipod simply higlight the ipod icon in the info bar and the eject icon will appear on the right and click on it.

Connect iPod to the computer. Transfer your tracks. I don't know how much clearer we can be.

Is there some sort of headphone that can take a bigger beating than most other kinds? Hopefully some kind I can get at RadioShack.

Yes, my headphones did the same thing. I pretty much killed the Bass and the problem went away for a while. Then, recently, it came back. I bought some new Noise Reduction headphones (60$), and they're the best ones I've ever had.
