I got the new 30 GB iPod video which is simply the iPod as of right now before my ipod is then named the 5th generation iPod and not just simply the iPod. No illegal programs? Anyways I like it so far as I've had it except I hate the battery life. It makes me unable to fully enjoy it because the life really sucks. 6-7 hours of music playing if you change songs have backlight for 2 seconds and EQ. Haven't yet proven to myself that it's 14 hours with no effects and purely playlist with no interuptions.
Yep.
Tips:
Dont change songs randomly around your library, as it loads the next 45 minutes of your playlist or whatever into the cache, so skipping through that is better than skipping to random songs.
DO NOT CHARGE YOUR iPOD WHEN IT IS NOT FULLY DRAINED
Don't fast fowards through songs.
Don't have the backlight on at all, you don't need it, just have the button on the main screen.
Don't have the EQ on, it doesn't make THAT much difference to the sound and drains the battery.

Don't shuffle all songs, especially when you have over 1500~ songs. Big drain on battery life.
Don't show album covers, and don't switch to the full-screen of the album cover view.
Don't use playlists of over 50 songs or so, put it simply, the more songs in your playlist (or if you go to an artist and listen to all songs), the more battery life is going to go. I have playlists with 30-40 songs in each of chillout, feelgood, etc, so I don't need to waste battery life.
