Whereas, this author (and all the others) is/was submitting it in animated form (ie. not real). It’s sort of a really iffy (or rather yiffy) grey area, but I won’t go any further than this.

The drawn, implied or fantasy roleplay submissions that you can find on Newgrounds are in a gray area but they don't cross the line enough to be considered for removal.
Generally speaking it's a money thing, and there's more money to be made in allowing this specific material to exist then to try to exclude it. Adjust your age settings if you need to
Plus if you look into the law, there are very weirdly specific stipulations in American law books on the actual depiction or characteristics of an "allowed" beastiality movie/fantasy depiction

I think it might have the record for the submission that has uploaded and banned the most of all time.
The automod would prevent users from gaining blam points.

Plus, there's the risk of false positives and dinging the wrong submissions. There's a reason Newgrounds still sticks to volunteer mods and user-based flagging rather than relying on algorithms.
