Well, NG seems to be slower at certain times, but I suppose that this is the case with all websites.

On Tuesday night, in particular, it practically slows to a standstill and even on a T1, it is really difficult to go downloading and reviewing stuff.

I've always noticed NG being slower than most sites in the evenings, but in the afternoons, it's not too bad.

NG did - a couple of times - crash my browser. It's a right bastard. But there ee be...

We are on the verge of hiring Jose Ortiz to do art on a full-time basis. He would be doing artwork for both Newgrounds (Pico 2) and Newdgrounds (making original content for the subscribers, who would be paying most his salary).

Has this already happened? It's a great idea, and like you say, will hopefully encourage more people to join the site.

But please make him do a fair amount of stuff for us NG goers too... don't let him be totally consumed by the world of porn. :P

If you have been considering signing up for Newdgrounds, this is another great reason to do so. People who support us will help support Jose and we'll get great content on both sites as a result. Just an FYI for anyone with a credit card! ;)

I won't be signing up myself, but hey... I'm sure quite a few other people will. Like I say, good luck with NdG!

You know, I have a friend who used to draw fliers for a Dundee nightclub a wee while back. His art's really good - a bit like Jose's in fact, and whenever he asked me what I thought of his work, I'd always reply that it all looked good, but that the tits were maybe a bit too big... he always looked at me in a strange way. :)

On the other hand, he started drawing little monkeys after the 3rd flier to complement the ladies, and I really liked those cheeky little fellas. :)

Oh yeah, and that story had absolutley no point to it.

The first thing that you realize as an artist is that in order to make any sort of living, you have to sell out in one way or another.

If I didn't have a strict anti-porn stance, I'd create stuff for Nudegrounds too.

And if I didn't have any taste, I'd fill Arrogancy with blood and Matrix-type-effects for all of the little kiddies.

You have to sell-out to make money, sadly.

It's these artists that make me keep visiting NG. The artists who are amazingly gifted and then spend their time making something jsut for this site.

Everyone needs to deviate from their plans somehow. I mean, Tom didn't want to do NdG.

It's a shame, but all we can do is try to make the best of a sick world. :)

Actually for me it's about 1:00 am till about 4:00 am!!! But you have to agree that at night the traffic at Newgrounds.com is pretty small!!! Not to say nobody is on at that time, but most people are asleep or out partying somewhere; something around those lines!!! -PointsofAuthortity

Newdgrounds is hosted seperately from Newgrounds. It does not share any bandwidth with Newgrounds.

the day this was posted i said that it hardly ever crashed. i had Internet Explorer 5 or 5.5, not sure which. but i recently upgraded to IE 6. and now it crashes A WHOLE LOT. not once a day, im talking once every half hour. i'll probably go back to ie 5 for now.

Its been running at the pace of a sea snail sluge. More servers are a must...plus it doesnt look like the portals are refreshing right or something. Reason I say that is my crapy video that I made is still up...lol anyway keep up the good works on Newgrounds!

Yeah Tom, this site has been running extremely slow this week. The past weeks it was fine and at normal speed but ever since last Friday it's getting really hard to explore through your site.

Well, I hope that NdG is a success anyway, because I presume that if it is, you'll be able to get the servers you need.

Having said that, what someone else said about more people coming if you get better servers, and NG staying just as slow, but with more traffic might well be true...

ahh what the hell,tom and friends still got a kick ass web site,i've been doin' this more then a year and it's still the shizznicks,but reality is yah got a bunch of new peoples on this now so more servers be a helpful to us a holes that got out of work at 11 p.m.and tryin' to get those point's in for the day,(i try before work but i don't really wake up well from a night of like party hee,so help a bro out from a night of drinkin',oh yeah since i'm shootin' shizz,what the hell,I WANNA SEE MO' BOOBIEZ:*))
